Working my way down the line to try and cover them all! Here is my solution:

I chose the non-union way and fixed the animal naming issue that kindly enough didn't effect the outcome, but still bothered me:

Bobcat, Caterpillar and Cat are three entirely different animals, but all three contain the string 'cat' when case insensitive F/R is implemented. So I had to work my way around that one by using some spaces & reverting it later. That kind of forced me to the formula way instead of the union way:
