i'm perplexed about the sort coming out of the initial transpose and join combination.  Haven't found any reference to dictionary sort (or not) in these two tools.  It affects the position of 7-11 and Bevmo, FWIW.  I played with this for a while without figuring it out, but the dual sorts later in the process straighten things out.  Sometimes there are mysteries i cannot resolve.

My instinct was wrong on this one and a Cartesian Join would have been much more effective than all of my Multi-Rows. Love @SeanAdams' solution using Record IDs, but I got there in the end.

going to take a look at the solution now... pretty sure I solved in a weird way.. also my results for clients who only had one vendor are in merchant1 instead of 2... but still the same outcome nonetheless

Not the best approach, nevertheless it solves this problem. The problem with this approach is if we have 100's of Merchants as columns, we cannot be doing 100 transforms.
