The problem with these kinds of thematic maps is that the same data can be used to make two different 'correct' maps that can be misleading. I had to sort my data to get it in the format of the solution. With exactly the same data before I sorted, I got different colours for different points as there were points with different status' that were either very close or overlapping.
It's great that we can create these visualizations in Alteryx but it's worth noting that unless you are careful it can go wrong (although that's also true of other software).
