this solution relies on months being in correct chronological order, row by row.  It looks like it works but... the data is not documented so we have to make assumptions in order to progress the work...

Ended up taking the same route as @BenFr in order to avoid typing out a bunch on months. Definitely tidier ways to do this, but the challenge hinges on the months coming in the right order anyway.
