Challenge #20: List Parsing

One of those progress measure challenges. Tried this one ages ago and had no idea how to approach it. Now it was very doable :)

I went the in-situ route with the list and built up the fields in the Parse Fields without pivoting.   That left rejoining to build the records in the second section.  That section is big but simple and repetitive.  Possible candidate for a macro

Pretty sure i've spent over 10 hours on this! Finally got the results which matches the output answer. Took a lot of brute force accounting for specific cases.

Great practice on REGEX! I had to peek at the solution a couple times to figure it out.

Solution attached. I had a few remaining address exceptions, but got tired of tweaking the formulas. However, I did take the extra step to de-dup the customer list using the Fuzzy Match tool.

Must agree that it was one the most difficult one I have solved until now. Decided to leverage Reg-Ex as I wanted to practice more on these tools.

 

 

The solving thrill continues!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
