Here is my solution for this challenge. This was a good one.

There can be different answers depending on how you calculate the distance. You can either use the difference between the previous point and the current point and create a running total. Or if you use the starting point and current point. I'm not exactly sure which would be more accurate on an exam but I went with calculating the difference between the start and current point.

Note: You can do this two different ways. See spoiler for details.
