My solution (I did it two ways, then I checked out some other solutions and found a much better way to do it, so this is very messy):

I would argue that mathematically, there are 540 triangles with no collinearity even if due to the scale of the triangle, they look like a straight line.

 

But I've put that solution with the 516 triangle solution.

Doesn't match the solution exactly but theoretically these are all triangles which have a non (rounded to zero) area....
