Challenge #152: Finding Vehicle Counts

JoeM
Alteryx Alumni (Retired)

This week's challenge shouldn't provide anything too difficult, per se. What we need you to do is to simply find the 'count' of Blue Chevy vehicles in the Gypsum Hills region. Here's the twist: you are not allowed to use an Input Data tool, or a Summarize tool. Good luck!

Here's a small clue - do you know the name of this place:

It's CALGARY!

I think a calgary join could be used if the index files were included, but without those I've used a recordID and sample tool to get the count:

I'm expecting there's a way these can be done entirely using the calgary tools ?

Using the indexes, I opted for the cross count append tool:

Oh Canada...

one thing to watch for in this challenge - some tools are macros - for example, "Count Records" is a macro that uses the Summarize tool (and is therefore not allowed for use in this challenge).
