Challenge #15: Warehouse Shipped Miles

If you use a float to calculate your distances you will only match to 2 decimal places. Use a Double instead.

Also, pretending that each item travels individually doesn't make a lot of sense. Each Order/item should probably be deemed to travel together?

I had to look at the solution to see if they use required or assigned, but at least I figured out the right spacial tools to use.

Good point about the unclear spec. I guessed right the first time but had a similar thought process.

my first question on spatial. very interesting using "Find Nearest"

Resolved the challenge using Cross Tab & Append Fields tool instead of Spatial Match tool.

Another way to solve the challenge!!!

My assumption here was Required = demanded and Assigned = actually supplied. Therefore used Assigned.

 

But good point!
