Took the easy way... still didn't do it very efficiently, but I used the Tile tool which is new to me!

Followed the advice of @NickC and went for the easy way.

I couldn't work out a way to avoid using the transpose tool.

Hi. This is my solution. Hard path.

I have used Arrange tool in order to work salaries by company.

I have not used Company Name input.

I transposed the data to get it all into one column, made 2 formulas to determine jointly vs. individual and then the amount without the I or J at the end, changed the new amount to a double, split the data into jointly and individual, used tile tools to create buckets of amounts manually based on tax table data, joined the data on filing type and tile #, then summarized the data to find count.

Really really love this challenge! It just took me 5 minutes to finish the easy solution, but it took me half day to learn how to solve it by "Dynamic Replace" Tool and by Batch Macro! A lot of new things to me!
