Took me an extra iteration to understand how the tax brackets were applied on earnings. Bracket to applicable portion of income vs. only one bracket per income.
Took the hard-way approach - Not entirely happy with the hard-coding in the formulas, but I still don't quite get the dynamic replace (and almost never comes to mind).
