Done! I used empty columns as placeholders for multifield formula with case sensitive Regex function.

I never saw the total in the crosstab tool either.

Solution attached.  Not sure if it was the most efficient method, but it works.  I added an image, as it looks like I took a different approach than many.

I would have probably been faster if I just counted the uppercase and lowercase letters :D. 
Nonetheless, a very fun challenge indeed!
