I thought of using "Cross Tab". I didn't know that I can use filter and join to generate columns for male and female columns but here it is!

Really wish there was a way to have a join built into the summarize tool - I group by year then take the max frequency and then... how do I extract the name? I think I could be done after the crosstab with that feature.
