Hi there,
I'm very happy to join this great user group! This is my first post, and I hope it won’t be the last.
My name is Ahmed, I'm from Egypt, and I’ll be arriving in Melbourne at the end of September. I have experience in data engineering across various industries, working with tools like IBM DataStage and Informatica BDM. Recently, due to a change in my job, I’ve started working with Alteryx — and I find it an amazing tool.
I’d appreciate any feedback regarding industries in Australia that currently use Alteryx or are likely to adopt it in the coming year.
Thanks so much, and I look forward to seeing you at the next meetup! 😊
Welcome to the Sydney User Group, @ahmedalnaqa!
ramesh_neel and Nezrin should be posting about the next meeting soon. Stay tuned!
Thanks, Flávia, for ur warm welcome
A little late, but I just saw this when I noticed the User Group recap.
Alteryx has a decent footprint in Australia, with the largest 5 banks, the largest 3 telcos etc all being users with various size implementations. At a rough guess, once removing MNE's, I would finger in the air say 5k-10k users. Probably 500 companies. I remove Multi-national enterprises, because most of them have a footprint of Alteryx, but there's really no way of knowing how many licenses are in Australia.
As with anywhere, companies still baulk at the sticker price, as a lot of software is purchased on price rather than value, but that comes down to you selecting a company that will be open to it.
Thanks KGT,
For these perfect highlight statistics, I like it so much 😍
As I know, the cost of the designer not passing $5K (I don't know if it's right or not), but is this I high price for companies in AU?
I don't know many companies that would have a problem finding that for software. There is not many desktop software products that cost AU$8k/yr and so it gets eyes on it. I wouldn't be concerned with that, it's more that not many companies would spend that without some justification.
