Are you ready to kick start your career in insights? Our growing team is looking for the next generation of Insights Consultants to work with the world’s leading brands. The Insights Associate role serves as the introductory point for that path. Insights Associates learn the ropes of quantitative and qualitative project execution through vendor management, contributing to questionnaire development, performing basic data analysis, assisting with client-ready deliverables and more.
This role reports to a dedicated Insights Associates Team Manager based in Boston and supports successful client-project delivery across the company. A structured skills training program is provided which offers introductions and access to Subject Matter Experts throughout CMB. Additionally, every Insights Associate is assigned a dedicated mentor (an experienced CMB Researcher) and is presented with many opportunities to learn by observing and interacting with team members and clients.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Adhere to defined approaches, processes, best practices, etc.
Take advantage of training and development opportunities
Contribute to a team and/or committee for ongoing CMB initiatives
Ensure end-to-end client/project delivery in alignment with Sales & Account Management leading to high client satisfaction with project deliverables
Assist Lead Project Managers with managing entire project lifecycle for quantitative and qualitative research, including client management and communication
Contribute to the development of questionnaires
Actively own and manage external vendor relationships throughout projects
Oversee data collection, including questionnaire programming, recruiting participants and configuring data collection reports
Collaborate with dedicated project team on data cleaning, processing, tabling, formatting, and proofing
Assist with project administration tasks such as creating and updating project schedule, drafting project kick-off materials, and reviewing project budget and financials
Collaborate on the creation of client-ready reports and presentations, including template creation, table/chart formatting, proofreading, and editing
Effectively communicate with project managers, peers, and other senior staff
Demonstrate commitment to using CMB processes and Associate Researcher tools
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Market Research, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, or related field
Previous market research coursework and/or up to 2 years of professional market research experience
Extremely high attention to detail
Excellent at managing multiple projects and priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Basic knowledge of at least one statistical software package (e.g., SQL, SPSS, MATLAB, Alteryx) preferred
Ability to establish and manage relationships with clients, vendors, and co-workers
Sense of humor and self-aware
