Data Scientist:
Our Data Scientist is responsible for a range of tasks including data mining, ETL, analyzing structured/unstructured data from a wide variety of sources and identifying along with scoping opportunities to automate repeatable reporting processes. Additionally, their work includes report requirements gathering, the timely execution/buildout of epics and user stories for the creation of creative actionable Tableau dashboards and Visualizations for the Global Operational and Service Management suite. They support Adhoc report development requests and maintaining existing reports and dashboards

Essential Functions
Designs, prepares, tests, and debugs Tableau dashboards for Global Operational and Service Management suite
Meets with users to understand their analytic needs and suggests best ways to visualize the data through mockups and white boarding
Writes and modifies SQL queries and stored procedures for report result sets
Prepares test data and conducts unit testing to ensure compliance to specifications
Collaborates with the Report Team using Agile project management, through daily team standup meetings and bi-weekly sprint planning & review meetings
Uses JIRA to run project stories, tasks, and hours
Ability to understand business constraints while gathering technical requirements and communicating clearly the designed solutions

Job Level
Required Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Data Analytics or Computer Science, or equivalent
7-10 Years’ experience – advanced proficiency in analytic and visualization software (Tableau, Quicksight, Alteryx, Databricks or similar)
5+ years using SQL or other query and scripting languages to aggregate, collect, and manipulate data.
2+ years reading and writing analytical programming languages (Python, R, or similar).
Advanced knowledge of Business Objects, SQL, and Microsoft Applications, including Excel and Access.
Deep understanding of relational databases, ETL tools, data conversion and data cleansing methodologies
Experience with (or at least exposure to) cloud-based databases like Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
Solid Understanding of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets especially Excel and SQL
Experience with AutoSys and VB Macros to automate Data Analysis and daily reports
Preferred
Masters’ degree from an accredited university or college in Data Analytics or Computer Science
Banking experience within Operations, technology and other support functions
Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
Experience with Big Data technologies, such as Spark and Hadoop
