I am trying to test the google sheets functionality on our on premise Alteryx server. But I’m unsuccessful getting the attached error. Please can someone help.

This looks like a firewall issue so I would work with your IT to see if they can allow contact from spreadsheet.google.com.

Thank you for the response!
But as I mentioned earlier, if I run it using Alteryx designer on the server the workflows runs and input/output to googlesheets are working fine. Is this still a firewall issue because from server im still able to connect to google sheets?

Hmm, does the google sheets tool always error through the scheduler? Or is it successful on some of the runs?
The scheduler has a 'run as' property which may be causing the different behavior between running manually on the server and then on the scheduler. Could you check with IT that this 'run as' account (Found in Alteryx system settings on the server) doesn't have any firewall or proxy settings to prevent Google Sheets calls via API.

Yes you are right the error was due to service account being restricted to connect to Google sheets. We are speaking with out IT team regarding this.
