Terry Alexander PhD will share workflows she recently designed based on insights from two Inspire 2018 Platform Training courses.
1. Advanced Spatial Analytics - What areas of a city are susceptible to flooding? Apply Alteryx spatial data processing to assess flood risk. Use the local density of housing and housing prices to calculate assumed risk. Add an interface tool to create an app allowing business users to input different assumed risk thresholds. Generate a PDF report of analysis results.
2. Build a Connector - Construct a custom connector to download data from an API. Parse downloaded JSON, XML, or CSV files. Parameterize the workflow by creating a standard Alteryx macro.
3. Raffle with Tuvy Le, Customer Advocacy Coordinator and Alteryx Ace.
4. Alteryx for Good in San Diego: Our member, Mark Davis, will update us on his work helping The United Way of San Diego.
Primary Presenter: Terry Alexander is the Visualization Lead for Insight Enablement at Pfizer. She earned her Ph.D. in Biomedicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and then completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Neurovirology at Scripps Research Institute. Terry then joined Agouron Pharmaceuticals to work on antiviral drug development. After Pfizer acquired Agouron, she joined Pfizer Global Business Intelligence where she currently works on deriving actionable insights from while promoting data literacy.
