Had hoped to demo this macro in class tomorrow, Monday, but alas:

AzureMLTextAnalytics (32)    Tool #76: Microsoft API error... Any idea what is going on?

Looking at the error message it looks like you haven't authenticated properly (403 error) I havent used the tool yet but have you entered login details properly? at the end of the error message there is the comment "You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied."

Thanks, Paul.

This is possible, but the tool only requires an account key, and I generated one at the Azure site, regenerated it and tried again, and even waited eight hours for the account key to have time to register (they claim it happens almost instantly). Presumably, the macro sends get https commands, so it is possible that some other access criteria for the computer I'm running Alteryx on are needed?

Did you sign up for a plan at https://datamarket.azure.com/dataset/amla/text-analytics using the same account that you got the key with?

Good point, Neil. I did change the email for the account when signing up.  I went back and signed up with the original email and replaced the account key, but ended up with what looks like the same error.

Hi all,

I hate to resurrect old threads, but I'm getting the same issue.

Should we be using the Azure account key, or the new cognitive services keys?

If I use the Azure account key, I get this error.  Using the Cognitive Services keys, I get a different error on how the Authentication type is not allowed.

Any ideas?

A replacement tool, Cognitive Services Text Analytics, that uses the new API has been released onto the Gallery.
