Alteryx workflows don't stop you from running without data. When you expect to have records flowing through your workflow and nothing appears, would you like to be notified with an error message? Sure, you can configure tools to count records and alert you, but why not add another CReW macro to your library and let us alert you? If you're wondering how this works, I did consider modifying the Expect 0 macro but decided to take another route. The expect 0 records macro calls the Count Records macro (Alteryx). This macro does all of the work within itself.
An error message appears if no data is included in the input anchor. You, like @jarrod (AKA @JarrodT ) might want a more descriptive message than what is provided. I welcome you to edit the macro and make it as suitable for work as you need.
