  1. What did you learn by attending the UG meeting today? What would you like to learn about at the Q2 meeting?
I learned how a SQL statement can be turned into table results that can then be used by other steps.  Also, I learned some nice tricks on data transformation in the breakout room challenge.  I am open to any topic for Q2 being a novice user.
  2. What do you do for a living?
HRIS manager for Irvine Company in Orange County.  Manage the HR technology and use of data for analytics.
  3. How long have you used Alteryx?
Novice user but looking to expand use and increase productivity in data transformation for HR.

  1. What did you learn by attending the UG meeting today? I learned about the the chain apps which I've never seen before.  Still trying to figure out how I could be able to use that.  I also learned about a DateTimeParse formula that I think I will be able immediately in a workflow.  What would you like to learn about at the Q2 meeting?  I would like to learn more about how to do more formatting of outputs.  One of the roadblocks to my departments usage of Alteryx is formatting as managers tend to want their reports to look a certain way.  For example if I have three columns called Apple, Oranges and Bananas, how do I add a row right above those 3 columns that that is merged that says "Fruit" and has some form of shading.  If there are other columns in the data set, I would not want to have any values in that first row.
  2. What do you do for a living? I am an Operational Excellence Analyst.  I help my department, Global Finance and Sourcing, in all things related to transformation.  This includes evaluating new tools to bring into the department, performing continuous improvement of processes using LEAN, and helping to solve various needs which can include automation of work processes using Alteryx, bots, etc, teaching associates to use new collaboration tools or working with our emerging technology group to find a product for the specific need.
  3. How long have you used Alteryx? 2 yrs
