TOPICS
Providing Finance Insights with Alteryx to the Enterprise
EDF Energy supplies around 5 million UK residential and business accounts with electricity or gas. Before switching to Alteryx, the finance team used a system based on Oracle SQL to calculate, analyze, and provide insight on their gross margin, but this limited transparency and created a long backlog that couldn’t keep up with demand. Alteryx enabled EDF Energy to write their own models and increase their speed of change and transparency. Learn how they recreated their calculations in 140 Alteryx workflows that every stakeholder could understand. Plus, discover how they created a production analytics finance system, mixing concepts from enterprise systems and self-serve analytics to create something with unprecedented agility.
Using Alteryx to develop FP&As Model for the Future of Banking
Revolut is building the bank of the future. This requires a strong, rigorous, and agile financial model to support key business-development decisions, a board of directors, and regulatory reporting. Since February 2019, FP&A started a journey to learn Alteryx, develop simple MVP-type blocks, and ultimately, develop a comprehensive multi-block-based financial model that combined inputs from various departments, translated them into financials, and aggregated them into a global financial summary of the group performance, both in the past and future. Learn how they developed their comprehensive financial model, communicated cost savings to management, and how they increased the visibility of their financial state and projections.
Reporting & Design Best Practices with Alteryx
Lilian comes all the way to London from Washington DC and will share the story of her career to date as well as some insights she picked up from previously leading the Washington DC Alteryx User Group. She will also deep dive into the following technical topics:
- Reporting and design best practices for the most aesthetically-pleasing and impactful reports
- Understand how to manipulate Alteryx reporting objects
- Automate static reports and Tableau visualizations with dynamic data
- A non-coders guide to using the R tool with ggplot2 to extend the visualization possibilities
