This article focuses on one key area of our Location Insights products – Maps. I'll use the US Location Insight product for this example, but all of our international Location Insight products are functionally the same unless I call it out specifically as a unique part of the US package.
You may have noticed a longer than usual list of map styles in Alteryx over the past year. This is because in version 2019.4 we introduced a bevy of new maps from our mapping partner, Mapbox. These were added in addition to the existing map styles from our previous provider, Carto.
The Q2 2020 Business and Location Insights data packages are now available for your analysis. The packages include analytics-ready data from a variety of vendors as well as data-specific analysis tools which will empower users to get the most from the packaged data. As we announced in December, we have partnered with Mapbox to provide new basemaps for designer 2019.4. For our Q4 2019 Business and Location Insights release we will be transitioning from our previous provider to Mapbox. Workflows that have “Most Recent Vintage” selected from the basemap drop down will transition smoothly to the new provider.
The Q4 2016 US Data and US Spatial Data installs were mistakenly shipped with an Alteryx Maps macro named TomTomLayerSelection and should not be placed into production under any circumstances.
Users running Alteryx v. 10.1 and earlier versions who have installed the Q4 2016 US Data[1] update may receive the following error upon opening Alteryx:

To fix the error, or to remove the macro from the Tool Palette, users will need to delete the folder containing TomTomLayerSelection.yxmc by following these steps:
1. Close Alteryx and navigate to the Q4 Alteryx Maps data install folder, typically located here –
Program Files (x86)\Alteryx\DataProducts\AlteryxMap\TomTom_US_2016_Q4
2. Delete the Macros folder, shown in the screenshot below:
3. Relaunch Alteryx. You should no longer see the error message.
