Question
Does Alteryx control the CASS expiration date and is there a grace period before expiring? My IT dept. cannot install updates/upgrades from Oct 31 to January 1 due to their schedule and IT must vet each installation. Workflows are currently scheduled and include CASS so there might be a production outage.
Answer
CASS expiration is controlled by our license agreement with the vendor, Melissa Data. They provide the license key, so there is no way for us to adjust the expiration date, which is the last day of month regardless if it's a holiday, weekend, etc. From MelissaData: "CASS expiration is controlled by our license agreement with the vendor, Melissa Data. The licenses always expire on the last day of the month regardless if it’s a holiday, weekend, etc.
From Melissa Data: No there is no grace period. If a CASS certification were to be run on say 12/30 the CASS certification certificate would be good for up to 90 days but in terms of the database expiration there is no grace period.
