Lesson Objective: Learn to leverage a LookUp table to find an unknown value and associate that value to an existing dataset.

  • Understand the concept of a VLookUp function and the equivalent process in Designer using the Find Replace tool
  • Match values in a VLookUp table to values in an existing dataset
  • Replace values in or append associated values to an existing dataset from a VLookUp table
  • Explore the differences between using a Find Replace tool or a Join tool to perform a VLookUp
  • Test your knowledge with a quiz
