Join in on our latest Industry Fireside Chat discussion focused on the Public Sector and the resiliency for economic development. This will be a 3 part series; Deanna Sanchez (Keyrus), David Carnes (The City of Tallahassee, FL), and Jason Claunch (Catalyst Commercial) discuss their professional perspectives on the COVID-19 pandemic and the disruptions it has caused in state and city governments – as well as how governments can build resiliency in their operations going forward.
Deanna Sanchez began using Alteryx in 2005, specializing in Spatial and Demographic Analytics. Her degree in Geography (Concentrations: GIS, Medical Geography) enables her to consult in numerous verticals. An Alteryx trainer, she has provided instruction to 500+ students nationwide. Presentations include the International Medical Geography Symposium, the National Retail Federation Big Show NYC, Geography conferences, and multiple Alteryx Inspires. Deanna co-leads the Dallas Alteryx User Group (6 years, 450+ members) and leads the Dallas Alteryx For Good (AFG) volunteers. She launched DFW Women of Analytics as well as the Fort Worth User Group in 2018 and is on the leadership team of the Dallas Chapter of Women in Data. She was greatly honored to receive the AFG Champion Award in 2017 and believes that any amount of volunteering, large and small, creates expanding ripples of good throughout your community.
Jason Claunch is the President of Catalyst Commercial, and has experience activating mixed-use, TOD's, corridors, and small area plans. Catalyst is a Dallas-based consultancy that focuses on public and private entities. Catalyst's specialty is developing strategies and assisting communities to activate quality places using economic development solutions.
David Carnes is assigned to the Innovations Development team of the Technology and Innovations department at the City of Tallahassee. In addition to continuing to support Underground Utilities and Public Infrastructure, David is involved with coming up with solutions to problems by using newer technologies such as machine learning and predictive analytics. Skills acquired or being gained here are Alteryx, Tableau, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
