Dear Team,

With respect to the above-cited subject, we are very much interested in understanding the data privacy policies for trial version of the Altreyx Designer toolkit.

As we are expecting to use some confidential data for data analysis and model building using a trial version of Altreyx Designer toolkit. In this connection, we are curious to know about the safety policies of our data throughout the period of the trial version of the software.

Please help us get the above-requested information.

Regards,

Vinay

Hi @vinaykumarn , welcome to Alteryx!

While I can't speak for Alteryx, I can tell you that Alteryx is an "in-memory" processing engine, meaning once you start building connections and doing data wrangling with Alteryx, all data is local to the machine you are using.  Now, there is a default option set that sends tool usage information to Alteryx about the tools you use (not the actual data).  However, if you prefer, you can turn that option off by going to Options, User Settings, Edit User Settings and unchecking the "send tool usage....." box:

hey @vinaykumarn

theres some more discussion about this topic here:
https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Discussions/Does-alteryx-store-the-data-from-excel...

but as @mbarone has said yeah, its all offline, and in memory. No data of yours is stored by Alteryx - unless you make an output somewhere.

Cheers,
TheOC
