Alteryx Governance Best Practices

Dave

Hi Community,

I have been asked to create a governance document for how we utilise Alteryx - from how we identify candidate processes for automation (intake) to development and go live

Building a presentation like this is not really in my wheelhouse, I'm wondering if anyone has advice/templates/presentations they can share?

Would greatly appreciate the assistance

Dave

Hey @Dave !

Maybe for starters, my blog could be of use to you: https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Engine-Works/Tips-for-Reverse-Engineering-Current-Processes-in-Alte...

With regards to what makes a good use case, it’s really a wide net. The best way to start is to identify key features such as repetitiveness, hours saved, storage saved, whether it de-risks a process from key-man risks / no documentation, etc. It’s endless!

For governance practices, I used the following document that I found in the community group.
