Where Should I Start?

I am new to the world of Data Analytics and would love to learn more about the topic. Would anyone mind sharing the names of some good books that would help to build my knowledge on this fascinating subject. I am particularly interested in learning more about prepping data that will be used to build dashboards but I welcome any suggestions on increasing my knowledge on the subject in general. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance!

Hard to keep my answer succinct but I will try:

• Firstly this (The Alteryx Community) is a great place - try the academy section here: 
  • The learning paths will be great to get you started, then I'd recommend jumping into some weekly challenges. Some of them are around purely fun, but many based on real business problems.
  • There are also some great courses with Udacity - https://www.udacity.com/course/problem-solving-with-advanced-analytics--ud976 as an example
• When it comes to books I'd recommend:
  • https://www.amazon.com/Storytelling-Data-Visualization-Business-Professionals/dp/1119002257 - I read this years back and parts still stick with me now.
