I would like to understand if the end of support date for 2021.3.5 listed here is correct and if so whether it can be extended?
The support policy states:
And also states:
My questions/comments are:
1) 2021.4 was at least 3 months late (03/17/2022), which means that the gap between the major 2021.3 and 2021.4 releases was over 7 months.
2) The 2021.4.1 release date of 02/02/2022 isn't really correct as it was pulled a few days after being released and isn't available now
3) This means that customers who are on a Major Version -1 cadence would only start upgrading to 2021.3 now and therefore have less than 11 months of support with the 2021.3 end of support date being: 02/11/2023
Thoughts?

@Joe_Lipski Any updates on this?
No, but I'll try to escalate in another channel and post any updates here as I receive them.
@JagdeeshN, unfortunately not, but I'll try to escalate in another channel and post any updates here as I receive them.
Hi Joe,
I have been reviewing those Version Support policies recently, and I want to point out that we changed in 20.4 to keep the same "End of Support" date as the major version for all subsequent stable updates. So if you look at the first 21.3 it was released on Aug 11, 2021 so 18 months later is the Feb 11, 2023 date. So that is correct. I do not know much about whether we do extensions, but starting with Support might be a good path to try to get that escalated.
*Beginning with the 20.4 major release, End of Support for all stable/minor releases will match the major release date.
Thank you for responding @TonyaS, I have raised with Support
@TonyaS thanks for the update.
@Joe_Lipski thanks a lot for raising this. Do update this thread on what you hear from support.
The dates of support are based solely on the release date for that version, not on when the next major is released. So we are not able to extend the EOL for 21.3.
