New to Alteryx

Folks:

I just started learning Alteryx, and I am stuck on the Getting Started Learning Path:

What am I supposed to do here?
I am working on a Mac, and the files provided are .yxmd, which can't be opened.
What is the expected solution? 
I have not installed any Alteryx trial yet.

As of now, I think Alteryx is not supporting  Mac, kindly see here for VM alternative.
