In what context?

To me a demand signal is part of sales, where you are listening out for specific asks from a customer/prospect that help you understand if there is a need and if so therefore a demand to buy.

For example, if I am talking to someone and they mention there are too many manual processes in Excel. Then I'd see that as a demand signal that Alteryx may be needed in order to automate those manual processes.

For more documentation you might need to look into some more specific sales training/techniques.
