This is a very tricky question... I transitioned from a nontech position to being a data analyst within the company.
I'd suggest to start here in the community. Network and broaden your portfolio by doing weekly challenges. Next, find companies that uses Alteryx and checkout job posts from them. I'd still suggest to grow as a data analyst in your current company but it is understandable if they are not looking for one.
