Formatting issue when extracting EKKO-BEDAT field from SAP with the DVW ACS Connector

Question

I'm reading Purchase Order data from SAP ECC in order to upload it to S/4HANA via the Migration Cockpit.

For some reason the formatting of the EKKO-BEDAT (Purchasing Document Date) is messed up when downloading this to a .xlsx file which needs to be converted to a .xml file.

Anybody that has experience with this?

I sometimes use a multi-field formula tool like this: right([_CurrentField_],4)+Substring([_CurrentField_],3,2)+left([_CurrentField_],2)

Formatting issues like that often appear when the field is interpreted as text instead of a date during extraction. I’ve seen similar problems where the original SAP format doesn’t automatically convert in Alteryx. Converting the field explicitly to a date type or adjusting the parsing step usually fixes the formatting mismatch.
