Can anyone please help?
I am trying to open an old workflow and it opens an error message of:
Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1.
Is there any way I can fix this and still access the file without completely starting over?

Bad news is, your workflow is probably a lost cause as it's corrupted.
Good news is, if you the .bak file, you can change the extension to whatever you were working on (workflow as .yxmd or analytic app as .yxwz?) then you can resume from there.
