Editable Path Link in Gallery for User

Question

Hi Alteryx Community,

Would like to seek for any help/advice please.

I was trying to consolidate in one output from more than 100-200 excel file. Able to drafted the workflow but don't know how to input a text box that will allow gallery users to edit the file path on their end > run the consolidation flow with different file path.

Hi Tristank,

Thank you for your kindest help. I've tried to load in Alteryx Gallery and follow the instruction to specify the file path.

However, error still prompted in result:

Error says: error in Tool ID 1 which is the Directory tool. Is there any correct configurations to Directory that will allow gallery user to manipulate the directory file path on their end?

If you are just trying to allow the user to pick their own file path then you can use the file browse tool and feed it into the input with an action tool. You just have to make sure you pick the right section that you are trying to modify in the input tool (pictured below). This could be a text path too but may be easier for users by using the file browse.
