Can't use the download!!

Hello, i am new to Alteryx and recently was working on the weekly challenges.

While i am working on Challenge #7, i found that i can't get the data through API. I have checked with others' answer that they don't need to set up the connection while still can read the data. What should i do to read the API successfully? Do I have to set up any connection? Thanks so much for your help!! Much appreciated.

I don't have 2025.1 installed and I think that's what you're using. The Connection option that you are referencing is a DCM option, and DCM became compulsory for some actions in 2025.1 I believe. That should not include the Download tool unless a setting is enforcing it. Someone with better availability to 2025.1 may need to answer that.

As for the actual challenge, the API key does not work anymore anyhow. (6 years since it was last updated, and Quandl has monetised more of their service in that time after NASDQAQ bought it). If you're playing with it because it's interesting data, then check this out, and if it's to learn API in Alteryx, then check this out.

Yeah, no wonder it is so weird to pop out DCM option in my download! Let’s see if any one familiar with the latest version have any insights..
