CREDLY Expiration dates are off

Hi @AlteryxCertification !

I noticed something - whenever we renew for Advance by skipping Core, Credly only updates the Advance expiration date AND not the Core expiration date.

Is there a way for Alteryx to inform Credly as a certified partner of this? Seems to be a problem because if we skip to Advance - we cannot retake Core again since the expiration dates are synced to Advanced & pushed ahead. Credly doesn't follow.

Seeking your kind advice on this.

Thanks!

Hi Calvin,

The Core expiration is updated in Credly when a user passes Advanced, to the Advanced expiration date. There are some cases where the email address has been updated in COmmunity (or a different account was used for recertification) and then we need to manually correct the expiration dates. It is important to note that Credly does not set these dates - our team simply pushes the data to Credly.

The issue of not being able to take Core again is only relevant to your Community account status. You should be eligible to take the Core exam one year after passing either Core or Advanced. If you have specific concerns about the status of your account, please email the Certification Team directly.

Thanks!

Thanks team! So I reckon my Core’s date will change soon - maybe it’ll take some time to adjust since you mentioned Alteryx sends the data to Credly.

Hi @AlteryxCertification - reviving this thread. Remember how I said I took Advanced and skipping re-certifying core and it'll show as expired on Credly? Well....

It says my Core has expired eventhough it's not because I took Advanced and passed (re-certified)... can you kindly look into this on Credly?

Hi @caltang ,

Thanks for letting us know this was still an issue! I was able to determine that the Core wasn't automatically updated due to a discrepancy between your Credly email address and your Community profile email address. Our system isn't able to update it automatically if they do not match. I manually updated the expiration date on your Core Credly badge, but I would recommend you update your email address for that badge to match your Community profile email address.

Thanks!

Hi @AlteryxCertification ! I actually use two emails on Credly. One is my personal email and the other is my education email from before. It’s strange that you mentioned that - I’ll have to remove one for it to sync?
