My solution

Looks like I'm the only person to create all combinations of button presses and race durations 🙄 Because I did that the run time for part 2 was 2m20s but ok from a brute force perspective and could have borrowed from day 5 of testing a smaller range but that didn't feel necessary.
I was slowed down on getting to the solve on part one as I expected the vehicle to accelerate instead of travel at a constant speed, so started to work out the formula when I then realised it was just button duration * remaining time.

I was freaking out by Day 5 Part 2, still can not figure it out

So I took the most possible complicated way for Part 1 today by building Macro inside macro and forward and backward apparoach, preparing the impact Part 2. but....the part 2 of today is just cute. 😁
