Hello Community!
If you’ve ever attended Alteryx Inspire in person, you undoubtedly experienced the energy, innovation, and incredible power of Alteryx-powered data analytics. Inspire is all about sharing groundbreaking new features, celebrating inspiring achievements, and connecting with fellow Alteryxers who are transforming data into insight every day.
But what if I told you that the true magic of Alteryx extends far beyond the realm of traditional data analytics? What if there's a universe of unexpected capabilities, quirky solutions, and downright mind-bending applications of Alteryx?
Welcome to Alteryx Obscura – the Inspire session dedicated to all things non-analytics, highlighting what the software “can” do rather than what it’s “supposed” to do. Under the hood, Alteryx is a full-blown programming language, and in the hands of some of our most experienced and downright wacky users (including ACEs and Alteryx employees), it can do just about anything. Each Obscura session features seven different presenters, each of whom has 4.5 minutes to present their craziest, wackiest, and most surprising workflows. Things get a little crazy!
The sheer brilliance and silliness of Obscura entries cannot be underestimated, and over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be deep diving into some of these workflows, sharing the goofiness along with tips & tricks from the pros. Stay tuned for our first installment, coming soon!
Before we get started, here are the rules for Obscura:
Rule #1: There are no rules. If there is ever a dispute about the rules, refer to Rule #1
Rule #2: Solutions do not have to be useful
Rule #3: Participants are encouraged to use Base-A
Rule #4: Presentations must be cut at time - each presenter gets roughly 5 minutes to present their creation
If you’ve experienced Obscura first-hand, feel free to share thoughts below about the experience…
