Alteryx Grand Prix 2012

As Inspire 2012, Feb 27-29, draws near it is time to think about the Alteryx Grand Prix which has become an integral part of the conference. The 2012 edition promises to be more enthralling than ever before.  Selected competitors have an opportunity to demonstrate their Alteryx skill and also have an opportunity to win the prize of a race around the Vegas track with the Mario Andretti School.

For those unfamiliar to the Alteryx Grand Prix, it is a challenging event using Alteryx to solve complex business problems by some of our most powerful users. It showcases not only the strength of Alteryx and the speed at which it can solve difficult business problems but also shows the strengths of our growing community of power users. The event is not for the faint hearted as competitive juices are flowing whilst under the pressure of bright lights and time limitations to solve some of the most difficult business problems.

There are many new editions to this year’s event, including a surprise entrant into the Grand Prix. For a taste of what might be expected in 2012, I have attached some interesting problems to solve from previous years editions. They contain some of the problems which may be utilized in the upcoming event. The exercises for 2012 will require knowledge of the Beta Alteryx 7.0 and some of the new tools.

Below is a sample of the type of question which may be asked in 2012, knowledge of all the many great tools within Alteryx will be required to excel in the Alteryx Grand Prix.

The attached folder contains questions from 2010 and 2011 which will further help gauge your level of proficiency to be a competitive participant in the Alteryx Grand Prix. If you are able to solve these problems without too much issue then you may want to consider being a competitor.

We are still accepting applicants for the Grand Prix. If you would like to be a part of the event please let us know and we can add you to the potential list for final selection. Please email rmcfadzean@alteryx.com if you feel you are ready and would like to be a part of this great event.
