Under the hood of Alteryx: tips, tricks and how-tos.

SRC is pleased to announce the release of Alteryx version 4.1. The goal of this release was to tighten up the program, fill in some missing functionality and apply fixes. Because of this, many improvements have been implemented on the back end and are not necessarily mentioned here. Some of the highlights include:

Enhanced Browsing – The new Browse tool offers complete views of underlying data within the Alteryx module. The user can see and interact with all types of data within the Browse window thru the support of multiple views: table view, map view, and report view. There are many other features supported in the new tool such as selections, viewing multiple panes simultaneously, and much more. Read Josh's post on the Browse tool.

Better Reporting – We improved the Reporting tools with the implementation of full Unicode support, Styling Rules and Palette improvements. Look for a subsequent post by Josh on the reporting improvements.

Program additions – We've added the Calgary tool suite and the Scheduler program for all Alteryx users!

Alteryx Spatial Enhancements:

Globe Explorer Satellite Imagery – Alteryx Spatial clients will benefit from the addition of Globe Explorer satellite imagery as an additional base map option. Make sure you install the Streetware for Alteryx executable included in the DVD.

Guzzler Improvements – We have improved the Guzzler engine with memory optimizations and multi-threading. Make sure you install Guzzler 1.5 included in the DVD.

We hope all of our users benefit from the improvements we made to Alteryx and we thank you for your business!
