If you haven't seen the announcement about the latest release of Alteryx, version 2018.1, take a gander at this post which highlights some incredible functionality that you will definitely want to try out!
In addition to all of the great new features released for the core products, we also updated a few things for the Python SDK (currently in Beta.)
The most exciting things you will want to note include package dependency management-happy dance! The links below will direct you to brand new information now available on our Alteryx developer help site.
- The Python SDK is now available for admin users and non-admin users
- Guidance for using virtual environments and managing third party Python package dependencies
- Important information on how to distribute and share tools constructed with the Python SDK
As part of these changes, we also no longer include third party packages such as numpy with the installation. If you need to use numpy or another package, be sure to follow the steps outlined in the help links above.
