'& Ampersand' function to join cell contents.

Hi team,

Seems like a simple enough task but I can't seem to figure out or find a solution to the problem at hand. 

As seen below when I try to join the contents of the two columns the resulting values are all shown as 0. 

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Have you tried the plus symbol instead of the ampersand?

eg. [Container Type]+[Standard Shortname]

Hi Andy,

Thanks for the response and solution! was simple enough. 

I did try that before but it kept coming back with the wrong solution because I had the field setting on double rather than as a string.
