We are privileged to start the meeting with Scott Anderson, Lead Product Strategist at Alteryx, and he will present a Product Roadmap and Vision for the platform. We look forward to hearing about the latest features and all the many benefits recently added!
Our next guest speaker will be Mike Fratoni, @mikefratoni , Analytics Consultant at Data Prep U. Mike's presentation is "Harnessing Python in Alteryx: Advanced Techniques for Intermediate Users", and he has provided this great overview:
"Take your Alteryx skills to the next level by integrating Python into your workflows. In this session, we’ll explore how Python can extend the capabilities of Alteryx, allowing for more advanced data manipulation and customization. You'll learn how to incorporate Python scripts for tasks such as complex calculations, advanced data transformations, and custom visualizations, all while keeping your workflows efficient and repeatable. This presentation is ideal for intermediate Alteryx users looking to expand their automation and analysis toolkit with Python integration."

In addition, he will show how to harmonize/normalize addresses with the Find and Replace Tool and how to expand duplicates testing by using the Fuzzy Duplicates Tool. To round out this exciting presentation showcasing Alteryx from an ACE analytics point of view, Michael plans to show a workflow built using Python to help perform fuzzy matches on address fields!

Hi, DFW Alteryx User Group members! Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our October virtual meeting; we had an extended session, with many excellent guest speakers!
We were privileged to have Scott Anderson, Lead Product Strategist at Alteryx, provide an in-depth view of the Product Vision and Roadmap for the next release(s). With the roadmap containing some forward-looking statements, that portion of our meeting was understandably not recorded; for those who attended, though, we were able to learn about many cool new topics and features! Thank you, Scott, for joining our meeting and taking the time to show us what is planned for the future!
Next, Mike Fratoni, Analytics Consultant at Data Prep U, showed us some innovative ways to utilize Python in Alteryx with intermediate and advanced-level techniques. It was great to see Mike use the Jupyter notebook in action within the Python tool, and to give our members the chance to ask detailed questions. Mike, we appreciate the insight and deep dive into combining Python with Alteryx!
One of our newest ACEs, Michael Keiffer, presented ways to use the Find and Replace, Fuzzy Match, and RegEx tools within fraud analytics. He also added some Python into the mix and showed us how it can be used to match address fields. Thank you, Michael, for a fascinating tour of techniques and new ways of approaching the topics!
