Dallas/Fort Worth Alteryx User Group February Meeting!

Alteryx Certified Partner
Alteryx Certified Partner

You are invited to the upcoming Dallas/Fort Worth Alteryx User Group Meeting on Thursday, February 28th!

Our first meeting of 2019 in the Fort Worth area will be held at BNSF Railway!  The meeting will be from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. and will be in the Viewing Gallery conference room overlooking the Command (Network Control) Center.  This conference room provides an exciting live view of the network operations in process!

Thank you to BNSF for generously hosting our meeting; for more information on BNSF Railway and their innovative work, please visit their website at

Two presentations will be given at this meeting; one for advanced users, and another for those newer to Alteryx.  The first presentation features one of our members, Dr. Kyle Roberts, Data Scientist at Teknion Data Solutions.  Dr. Kyle will provide an in-depth presentation on utilizing K-means Clustering and Predictive Tools in Alteryx, along with a sneak peak of an additional Predictive tool he developed!

The next presentation will be a thorough exploration of Joins and Unions in Alteryx.  Have you ever wondered if there was a way to perform a join between two datasets (or even two spreadsheet tabs) just by choosing your key fields?  Is there a quick way to see what didn’t join on a key field?  Can you really move columns and line up headers just by clicking an arrow?  The answer to all these questions is a resounding “Yes” in Alteryx!  Deanna Sanchez, Alteryx ACE, will explain the join and union processes as she builds workflows interactively on the screen.

In between presentations, we will have networking opportunities, and light snacks and refreshments will be served.  A Q&A session will follow each presentation.

For Security reasons, all attendees must RSVP via the following Eventbrite invitation link at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.  When you arrive, please check in at the Visitor Gallery Center building (between the two railcars on the West side of Lou Menk Drive), and present a government-issued I.D., such as a driver’s license.  A badge will be prepared, and BNSF staff will escort attendees to the Viewing Gallery conference room.

The address for the Visitor Gallery Center building is:

2650 Lou Menk Drive

Fort Worth, TX  76131

(Look for the two silver railway cars on your left after you enter Lou Menk drive.)

Free parking is available in Visitor parking right in front of the entrance to the Visitor Center and overflow parking is located in front of the parking garage, just left of the Visitor Center.  Additional parking is available directly across the street; if these lots are full, parking is available further down Lou Menk Drive, past the Visitor Center; go under a walkway bridge that looks like a long railway car and connects two buildings.  There are parking lots on the left immediately after crossing under the bridge.  A parking map provided by BNSF is also attached to this invitation.

To reserve your spot today, please RSVP using this Eventbrite link; seating is limited, and our meetings sell out fast!

Bring your business cards, because the networking at our meetings is excellent, and get ready to learn, meet new friends, enjoy seeing old friends, and be awed by the great view of the BNSF Railway Command Center!  We look forward to having you join us!

Do I need to bring my Eventbrite ticket to the event?

No, we will have your information on the sign in sheet.

What is the dress code?

Business casual and jeans are just fine!
