First of all, let me start by thanking everyone who turned up to the first User Group meeting! It was a pleasure to see familiar faces as well as new ones.
The agenda for the meeting was:
1. Welcome and purpose of the User Group
2. Changes and additions to most recent Alteryx Versions
3. Certifications - get ready to be certified
4. Alteryx Weekly challenges
5. Feedback and suggestions for the user group
Here is a summary of the meeting:
1. Welcome and purpose of the User Group
The first meeting was exactly what I think a User Group meeting should be. The room was buzzing and it seemed like people were having a good time. People gathered in groups and the following topics came up as things that should be provided in the User Group:
We will try to keep these topics in mind for future meetings. Please remember that if you have anything cool in your pocket, then present it at a User group meeting - it can just be 5-10 minutes.
2. Changes and additions to most recent Alteryx Versions
I showed a couple of new features that I personally use every day. If you would like to know more about new features you can always go to the release notes (https://help.alteryx.com/ReleaseNotes/ReleaseNotes_Home.htm)
The features mentioned were:
3. Certifications - get ready to be certified (https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Certification/bd-p/product-certification)
There is no reason not to be certified - it is free (core and advanced), it is fun and it looks good on your curriculum. Thomas ran over the following:
For even more information have a look at the slides attached.
4. Alteryx Weekly challenges
Weekly challenges are a great way to widen your horizon and challenge your brain - back when I started using Alteryx they didn't exist but I had a rule to use 1 new tool every day. To have a bit of fun together we gathered in two groups and solved the weekly challenge 80 (https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Weekly-Challenge/bd-p/weeklychallenge).
It was intriguing to see the enthusiasm in the groups. And thanks to @Inactive User for helping out.

As promised here are the dates for the rest of the year so please put them in your calendar NOW!
We hope to see you again next time and if you were not there then come.
All the best,
Daniel @danielbrun2, Thomas @Verakso and Baider

Hi @danielbrun2 and @Verakso
Thanks for hosting a really good and cozy user-group event. It was insipiring to meet up with fellow Alteryx users - expecially for someone like myself who is relatively new in the Alteryx community.
Feeling inspired from the session I started completing the weekly challenges, beginning with the beginner ones. I have completed 12 of them so far. Feeling motivated to keep up the pace. Hope to be certified with the Core certificate before the Q2 meet-up.
I will definately put the dates for the future user-group meet-ups in the calendar!
Take care till next time.
Best regards
Mads @mambo
Thanks a lot for participating!
Happy to hear that we inspired you for both the challenges and the certification!
Great recap, @danielbrun2! Sounds like it was a great meeting :)
