Alteryx Community Platform Migration: What You Need to Know

We’re excited to share that a new and improved Alteryx Community experience is on the way! As part of our continued effort to align with the Alteryx One platform and vision, we’ll be migrating to a modernized Community platform that makes it easier for you to connect, learn, and collaborate.

Here’s everything you need to know about what’s changing, what’s not, and what to expect during the transition.

📅 Key Dates

IMPORTANT: Community Freeze: April 10 – April 14

During this time, the Community will be in read-only mode (no posting, commenting, or editing).

Launch Date: April 15, approximately 1:00 PM ET

The new Community platform goes live!

🔄 What’s Changing?

We’re bringing everything together into a more unified and streamlined experience:

One Unified Discussion & Ideas SpaceDesktop, Cloud, Auto Insights, and Machine Learning discussions will now live in a single space—aligned with our Alteryx One platform.

Easily navigate using labels and filters to find relevant content.

Modern Look & FeelA refreshed design that aligns with our updated Alteryx branding for a cleaner, more intuitive experience.

Certification Exams
Certifications are moving to Alteryx Academy on April 15. This change brings all exams and preparation resources into a single, centralized experience—making it easier to find what you need, follow structured learning paths, and build skills more efficiently.

Updated Main MenuThe navigation structure will change to better reflect the unified experience.

Global Community ExperienceInternational Communities will now be housed within the English Community.

A new translation feature is coming soon, enabling content to be read in any language.

Label Enhancements

Labels may look different than before.

Selecting a label may surface content from across the entire Community (not just one area).

We’ll work to improve relevance through more targeted labeling strategies.

🚫 What’s Not Moving?

Some older or legacy content will not move to the new platform:

Content (blogs, discussions) older than 5 years

Private messages older than 2 years

Custom favorites

Legacy search (we’ll be using a new, built-in search experience)

Onboarding content (now available in Alteryx Academy)

Certification badges (Certification content and exams are now fully hosted on the Alteryx Academy site)

Bookmarks

Additional notes:

User IDs will be regenerated on the new platform

🔗 What About Existing Links?

Most existing Community links will automatically redirect to the new platform

Exception: Content older than 5 years will not be available

Additional updates:

The Weekly Challenge Index will return in a future update

Academy & Certification content is now fully hosted on the Alteryx Academy site

Certification badges will no longer appear on Community

All certification recognition will now be handled through Credly badging

This migration is all about creating a more connected, modern, and scalable Community experience. While there may be a short adjustment period, these updates will make it easier to find answers, share knowledge, and engage with fellow Alteryx users worldwide.

Hi @EKasminsky @NeoInfiniTech we definitely hear you and agree that sometimes older content is still helpful and valuable. Unfortunately there's some limitations in how much data we can migrate over in a timely manner while still maintaining the integrity of that data. Appreciate your feedback and for  being part of the community!

I agree with @NeoInfiniTech. There's been random topics that are older than 5 years old that have really helped me with specific issues not noted in any documentation on the website.

As much as I appreciate the effort to update and unify the forum, I must say I don't like the fact that the content older than 5 years will be gone, as there are a lot of useful content before the April 2021 cut-off that will no longer be accessible. If possible, at least make it read-only instead of completely deleting it.
