Let’s dive into this week's quest!

1. Download the provided ZIP file containing your starting data and workflow files.
2. Upload Start Cloud Quest 45.json to your Alteryx One library.
3. Reconnect Quest45Input.csv to the Input Data tool in your starting workflow.

Scenario:

The World Cheese Awards is an annual international competition that brings together cheesemakers from around the world. Each cheese is judged by a panel of experts who evaluate flavor, texture, and appearance. Awards are given in categories such as Gold, Silver, and Bronze, and the event highlights global trends in cheesemaking quality and innovation.

Your tasks are to:

• Identify the top 5 countries based on the number of categories entered and their average star rating.
• Find the country that has exactly 29 BRONZE ratings.

Hint: Get started using the Summarize tool.

Solved!

The wording on #1 was a little ambiguous so I wasn't clear if we were finding the top 5 by distinct count AND star rating (and then I wasn't sure how to weight each factor), or just one or the other. It appears to just be looking at the category count, so I think it should be worded "Identify the top 5 countries based on the number of categories entered, and find their average star rating." to be more clear, but maybe it's just me who was confused :)

I had the same confusion with you.
It appears that we pick the top distinct count of Categories then sort again with the average Star Rating, then we can get the same answer as the provided solution.

I did 44/45 both today.  After 44, this was a breath of fresh air (a new piece of cheese?).  Our little study group thought France cheated and only entered categories they knew they'd place well in, although that doesn't explain the US (maybe we just make bad cheese).
