I have an excel file with 2 columns, 

1st column) "Employee ID" (Has some duplicates - i want to filter by most recent Date)

2nd column) "Date"

So, How to sort the Date column to get the most recent date ?

Will "Date Filter " tool will help??

Use the sort tool and sort the data how you want.

For example if you want to know what is the latest date in your recent document just sort the date field in descending order, if you want to know recent date for each employee id, sort by employee id in ascending order and date by descending order.

Also in order to sort the date, please change the data into dateformat, assuming currently data is in string format
